This weekend, I find myself looking at all things sparkly and glittery. I love the bling -- I can't help myself. I wear a lot of muted colors (well, I wear mostly black), so I guess when I put on a sparkly bracelet, it feels expressive to me, like a person putting on a bright pink shirt might feel (I'm guessing).
Jewellry And All That (Yep, it's spelled that way - I think it's a British thing) caught my attention because right on their homepage I immediately noticed their customizable "Lovelink Charms" and I'm a sucker for that stuff. Anytime I can put a personal touch on jewelry, I'm in.
I was also very happy to find how many search parameters they offer -- by jewelry type, color, brand, material, gender, style, size, sale items, etc.
Everything JAAT does begins with a sparkling desire to source high quality, stylish and unique jewelry they admire before bringing it into their online store that also includes one-off pieces and exclusively designed handmade items. As I perused the site, I was happy to see they agree with me that a little bling goes a long way to expressing yourself. They say jewelry is "not simply a commodity but an expression of personal style - a statement of who you are, who you want to be."
I personally always enjoy jewelry that I can customize, as I said, but also inspirational pieces with quotes or colors or stones that are somehow meaningful to me. I really think jewelry can bring good fortune, luck, protection, healing and happiness. It's one of the few ways I am still a spiritual person, even though I am not religious.
This is starting to sound a little to deep for my liking -- but then, what woman isn't spiritual about jewelry?
Here are some of my (non-charm) favorite pieces!
