Major, major kudos if you knew who Jessie Spano is without seeing the graphic below.
Can you tell I'm enjoying the new "WUF" aesthetic? Y'all should start suggesting TV drama queens for me to use. You may see a Brenda Walsh graphic soon.
It actually turned out to be a pretty big week for me and I am actually taking advantage of my company's summer friday policy today and resting. Well, resting and working this blog and the other blog (someday I'll launch it). I'm co-working with Lindsay from Fit and Awesome this afternoon and I am excited to have another blogger in the room -- it's fun to write with company.
Tonight I'm gonna binge watch some SciFi and try to plan a Labor Day Weekend getaway.
And here are all of the things that made me smile the mostest this week!
1. I'm so excited because.... I'm going to BlogHer this year! Hooray! Will you be there? I want to meet you! Don't forget - I give hugs and high-fives. I figure I'm already at an advantage since I'm not driving there (it's in San Jose and I'm flying up) -- you may recall my last BlogHer trip in 2011 began with a fender bender five minutes before I would have arrived at the hotel.
Incidentally, my friend Chris wrote a terrific "what to bring" post you should look at for any business conference. Great tips!
2. So one of my all-time favorite baseball players, Derek Jeter of the New York Yankees, is retiring at the end of this baseball season -- his 20th. And the thing you gotta know is, above the awards and runs and stats, he's remarkably well-respected, well-liked, and idolized. Even the most vehement Red Sox fan and Yankees hater will likely tell you Jeter deserves every bit of praise he gets. I know I've mentioned this before so I won't get too much deeper into it, but take a moment to watch this amazing commercial the Michael Jordan brand put together to pay their respects. CHILLS CHILLS CHILLS.
3. So.... whats everyone's feelings about Jaden Smith? If you don't follow him on Twitter, you're actually missing out. Apparently we have the second-coming of Galileo on our hands. Even he says so:
No One Belived Galileo Either.

4. "Almost Everything is Better With Batman," said The Chive. And I pretty much agree. For example...
5. Oh, Weird Al. How are you still so damned funny after all of these years? Good for you, man. He may even be at his best now with this new album of his and to promote it, he released a music video per day this week -- each one funnier than the one before it. And there are still more to come.
Head to his website to check them all out. His "Blurred Lines" parody called "Word Crimes" is probably the best written but his "Royals" parody, "Foil," is my favorite.
I can only imagine what's in store.
